The short version: CS2Folio has no accounts and no sign-in. Your portfolio is stored on your device, not on our servers. We can't see what you own or what it's worth.
Your portfolio — the items you add, the prices you paid, your storage units, your settings, and your portfolio history chart — is stored locally on your iPhone. It is not uploaded to us and we have no way to read it.
If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. We do not hold a copy, so we cannot restore it for you.
If you use the import feature, the app reads your publicly visible Steam inventory directly from Steam using the profile link or ID you provide. This request goes from your device to Steam.
We never ask for your Steam password, and the app cannot sign in to your Steam account, trade, or change anything on it. Your Steam profile ID is saved on your device so the sync button can reuse it.
To show prices, the app requests publicly available market data. Prices for Steam are fetched from the Steam Community Market. Prices for other marketplaces, along with the item database and images, are downloaded from our public data file hosted on GitHub. These requests contain no information about you or your portfolio — the app simply downloads the same file every user downloads, and does the matching on your device.
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how features are used and to fix crashes. This collects:
These are not linked to your name or to any account, because the app has no accounts. They are not used to identify you personally.
The free version of the app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show and measure ads, including personalised ads.
On first launch, iOS asks whether you allow tracking. If you decline, your advertising identifier is not used for tracking. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Buying the one-time Remove Ads purchase removes all ads from the app.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see or receive your payment details. The app only records whether the Remove Ads purchase is active, so it knows whether to show ads.
cs2folio.app uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which sites link to us. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not track you across other websites.
CS2Folio is not directed at children and is rated for older users. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
